| QuikVue is perfect and I use very often with my smartphone.
I prefer to use QuikVue for my patients with dry eye (DED).Eye photography can be performed with in cobalt blue illumination.
Quikvue helps us to understand the diseases and conditions that can affect the eye, it helps to understand basic eye anatomy. With QuikVue you can see very well the tera film: better if you put one drop of fluorescein (korb-Marino test)
QuikVue’s LED illumination provides comfort to the patient during the examination due to the lack of heat. Image colour temperature is maintained at all illumination levels.
When I check a patient with DED , after a Ocular surface disease index questionnaire (OSDI) I can see very well limbal and conjunctival hyperaemia, number of complete and incomplete blinking, flutter of lids, Meibomian and Zeis gland analysis, tear meniscus analysis.Then with NIBUT, and tear osmolarity test, calculated merging together all partial scores, provides an overall evaluation of the clinical condition of the patient for a comprehensive diagnosis of DED dry eye disease. |
